Virginia Mae Perkins Coy, 91, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 16, 2024. She passed peacefully at the Cedar Ridge Health Campus surrounded by her children.
Born August 13, 1932 to the late Wilbur and Zella Jones Perkins, Virginia was a lifelong resident of Cynthiana, Kentucky (Harrison County), a lifetime member of the Cynthiana Christian Church and a devoted Christian. She worked for 3M Company until retirement then continued her career on a different path at Harrison Memorial Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide for the next 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Harold S. Coy; her brothers: Paulie Perkins, Lewis Perkins, Richard Perkins, Darrell Perkins, David Perkins & Donnie Perkins; and her sisters, Bonnie Perkins Snapp & Loretta Perkins.
Surviving are her children: Barbara (Larry) Yearsley, Sherry (Randi) Carpenter, Harold, Jr. (Kay) Coy & Greg (Amy) Coy; her grandchildren: Brad (Andrea) Yearsley, Eric Yearsley, Susan (Tim) Yearsley, Jeromey (April) Northcutt, Kristen (Clinton) Brock, Adam (Britney) Northcutt, Kimberly (Bobby) Coy, Ashley (Michael) Wills, Jessie (Dave) Holland & Brittany Mathis; 41 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was truly a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a friend to all that had the privilege of knowing her. She will truly be missed by all and has been a blessing and inspiration to everyone.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 22nd at the Cynthiana Christian Church by Dr. Larry Bishop with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery. All are welcome to attend her celebration of life and a meal following the burial services at the Cynthiana Christian Church.
Casketbearers will be Brad Yearsley, Jeromey Northcutt, Eric Yearsley, Adam Northcutt, Dave Holland and Kyle Yearsley.
Honorary bearers will be Mattie Ammerman, Ralph Deitermeyer, Ed Langsford, Jim Snodgrass and Tim Teater.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church.
