Darlene (Giles) Wagner

Darlene Giles Wagner, 76, of Defiance, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Luke's Mercy Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.

She was born on October 13, 1941 to the late William and Orene (Williams) Giles in Cynthiana, Kentucky. On September 12, 1959 she married Leonard J. Wagner, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2007.

Darlene was a member of Defiance Christian Church. She worked for several years as a Customer Service Representative for Key Bank and RDSI. She loved to travel, but mostly she cherished her time with her family and friends.

Darlene will be sadly missed by her daughter, Angela (John) Blythe of Georgetown; sons, Jeff Wagner, of Cynthiana, and Stephen (Jodi) Wagner of Defiance, Ohio; a sister, Carol Sue Williams of Georgetown; brothers, Richard (Terry) Giles of Cocoa, FL, and Ron (Lynda) Giles of Lexington; grandchildren: Tania (Evan) Sharp, Matthew (Christina) Blythe, Maddox & Easton Wagner and Amberly Ives; and great-grandchildren: Christopher & Anderson Sharp, and Kylie Ives, along with several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Lindell Giles.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio and after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
